Wisdom

Wisdom begins when we ask God to be our supply. It's in the Bible, I Kings 3:9, NIV. "So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of Yours?"

God offers practical wisdom to apply to life. It's in the Bible, Psalm 119:97-98, NIV. "Oh, how I love Your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me."

Trust in God—He will make you truly wise. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 1:7, NIV. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline."

Wisdom is the ability to see life from God's perspective and then to know the best course of action to take. It's in the Bible, Ecclesiastes 8:1, TLB. "How wonderful to be wise, to understand things, to be able to analyze them and interpret them. Wisdom lights up a man's face, softening its hardness."

We become wiser as we become more like Christ. It's in the Bible, Luke 2:40, NIV. "And the child grew and became strong; He was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him."

We can ask for God's wisdom to guide our choices. It's in the Bible, James 1:5, TLB. "If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask Him, and He will gladly tell you, for He is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask Him; He will not resent it."

True wisdom does not come from men's philosophies and ideas. It's in the Bible, Colossians 2:8, TLB. "Don't let others spoil your faith and joy with their philosophies, their wrong and shallow answers built on men's thoughts and ideas, instead of on what Christ has said."
